The National Sports Commission (NSC) in a press release, invited all affiliated members of the
Guyana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) to participate in the NSC Annual Mashramani Table Tennis Tournament, which will be held during 14-15 of this month.
The categories to be contested will range from Boys and Girls Under-9 to Boys and Girls Under-18, including Boys Doubles, Girls Doubles, Junior Mixed Doubles, 21 years and Under Open, and Men and Women Singles competitions.
Trophies and medals will be awarded to the first, second and joint-third place finishers in all the events. Players are obligated to compete against any other participating player and participants’ respect must be re-enforced in accordance with the ITTF Anti-Harassment Policy.
The technical meeting and draws will take place on Wednesday February 12 from 5pm at the National Gymnasium Mandela Avenue. This will be done under the supervision of the Technical and Organising Committees.
The singles events will be played in two stages. Groups will be confirmed as necessary, and they will compete according to the ‘Round Robin’ system. The first two players of each group will be qualified for the final stage. Players must finish in the final 16 before they could qualify for the National Championship 2014.
