As part of celebrations to mark their 100th anniversary, the Everest Cricket Club has organised a number of activities for the significant milestone. According to President Rajesh Singh the activities will get going from tomorrow, February 1.
The day’s activities begin at 10:00hrs with prayers which will be followed by a brief history of the Club and its accomplishments by the President.
An Official of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport will give a presentation before the Everest Masters take on a team from Suriname at 13:00hrs in a T20 affair. The club will also host dominoes competition and a four team softball tournament which will commence at 18:00 hrs.
Fans will not only be able to enjoy the many goodies and drinks but will be entertained by the renowned “Caribbean Hot Shots” the entire day.
The club has a number of other activities planned throughout the year to celebrate its anniversary including the Launch of its special Centennial Anniversary magazine which is being spearheaded by Vickram Singh from ClassiMag Publications. Admission to the venue is free.
