The stage is set tomorrow for hosts Den Amstel to face-off with City line-up North East La Penitence in West Demerara in the Mayor’s 79th birthday seven-a-side Football final from 17:00hrs.
In the curtain raiser between a Mayor’s All Stars and Sea Wall which starts at 15:00hrs, the 11-a-side encounter will run for the scheduled 90 minutes, while the 7-a-side final should be completed in 30 minutes.
Pulsating action is anticipated in both games; Den Amstel and North East go head-to-head for the first prize of $100, 000. The runner-up team will take home $50,000.
Admission to the ground is $500. The Den Amstel team is expected to come from Delon Lanferman, Jeffery Pereira, Travis Hilliman, Ryan Hunte, Colin Benn, Rondel Hutson, Kester Jacobs and Gilian Payne.
The team from Georgetown will come from Orville Milton (Captain), Hubert Pedro, Solomon Austin, Andrew Murray, Randolph Wagner, Rensford Coleridge, Devon Millington, Calvin Moore.
The Mayor’s All Star team will field: Devon Charles, Ashley Harding, William Europe, Joshua Browne, Joshua Kamal, Malcolm Wilson, Nikel Frazer, Dwayne Wilson, Jamaal Harvey, Keron Solomon, Orville Stewart, Trevor Lewis, Trevor Jones, Lloyd Matthews, Clive Matthews, Amos Ramsay and Domini Garnett.
Young Achievers will include Deon Terrence, Dexroy Adams, Roy Chilcott, Jason Critchlow, Winston Johnson, Marvin Josiah and Lloyd Prince.
