It will be the moment of truth on Sunday when hosts Den Amstel face-off with City line-up North East La Penitence in the Mayor’s 79th birthday seven-a-side football final from 17:00hrs.
In the curtain raiser, an 11-a-side encounter between a Mayor’s All Stars and Sea Wall which starts at 15:00hrs, the game is scheduled to last 90 minutes while the 7-a-side final should be completed in 30 minutes.
Pulsating action is anticipated in both games Den Amstel and North East go head-to-head for the first prize of $100, 000. The runner-up team will take home $50,000.
Admission to the ground is $500 and the home team team is expected to come from Delbert Lanferman, Jeffery Pereira, Travis Hilliman, Ryan Hunte, Colin Benn, Rondel Hutson, Kester Jacobs, Gilian Payne.
The team from Georgetown will include Orville Milton (Captain), Hubert Pedro, Solomon Austin, Andrew Murray, Randolph Waggner, Rensford Coleridge, Bevon Moesley, Rayan Adolph, Devon Millington, Calvin Moore.
The Mayor’s All Star team is made up of Devon Charles, Ashley Harding, William Europe, Joshua Browne, Joshua Kamal, Malcolm Wilson, Nikel Frazer, Dwayne Wilson, Jamaal Harvey, Keron Solomon, Orville Stewart, Trevor Lewis, Trevor Jones, Lloyd Matthews, Clive Matthews, Amos Ramsay, Jahaal Greaves Domini Garnett.
