Rural Constable Bercknell Spellen is now battling for his life after he was hit by a mini-bus
which attempted to park in the Anna Regina car park, around 12:24 hrs on Saturday afternoon.
Detectives who converged on the scene after learning about the accident, transported Spellen to the Suddie Public Hospital. The victim sustained severe head injuries and a broken leg.
Reports are that Spellen who was riding his motorcycle, attempted to enter a street alongside the parking lot while the mini-bus driver was attempting to park his vehicle. Spellen was hit and ended up under the mini-bus.
