The eight cricket teams of the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club (RHTY&SC) last weekend unveiled their third major programme for this year when they made their first donation under the Children Community Development Project.

Second Division, Pepsi Under-19 and Intermediate, Metro Females and Gizmos & Gadgets Under-21 and First Division had last week launched their Pro-Education and Charity Projects.
The players donated a set of office furniture, notice boards, stationery and cleaning detergents to the Rose Hall Town Police Outpost, while eleven outstanding students of the Rose Hall Town Nursery School received a collection of story books, stationery and snacks.
A donation of children clothing and snacks were also handed over to the Camal Children Home of Albion.
Public Relations Officer and Office Manager of the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club, Moonish Singh, in handing over the items noted that the Club, which is based in the Rose Hall Town area and therefore is committed to the development of the township, its surrounding villages and young children.
He stated that the donation to the Rose Hall Town Police Outpost was to assist the lawmen and women to fulfill their mandate to protect and serve the Township. Singh stated that Children are the future of Guyana and as such the cricketers were proud to invest in their future.
He urged the Nursery School Students who received the story books to develop the love of reading at a young age and to be good listeners.
Club Secretary/CEO Hilbert Foster complimented the players for their continued commitment under the three major programmes. Foster informed that twenty (20) community projects/programmes would be organised while the cricketers intend to make a positive differences in the lives of at least 2500 children during this year.
Head Mistress of the Rose Hall Town Nursery School Ms. Sandra Whyte and Corporal Tyndall of the Rose Hall Town Police Outpost expressed gratitude to the RHTY&SC for their assistance. Tyndall praised the players for being sports ambassadors and role models for youths in the Township.
Whyte stated that the club has always assisted her school and its students and wished them success on the field and their personal careers.
