Who will wear the crown of Georgetown champions is the droning question being asked among pundits who’ve been following the action in the Guinness ‘Greatest of the Streets’ Futsal Competition which ends tonight with the finals being played, at the National Park.
The two combatants are Queen Street of Tiger Bay and Stevedore Housing Scheme who’ve both beaten the odds to arrive at a place where they will vie for the first prize of $500,000 with the loser taking home $200,000 less.
But before that, there will be a third place playoff that features Albouystown ‘B’ versus Hope Street for a prize of $200,000 with the loser set to receive $100,000.
Along with the above mentioned prizes, teams were eligible to pocket an additional $25,000, $20,000, $15,000 and $10,000 each, according to their final placing.
Meanwhile, a couple of exhibition matches are planned to be part of the night’s proceedings.
