Recognizing the need for a logo at the Versailles Community Health Centre, Businessman and Versailles resident, Max Massiah, teamed up with Eureka Medical Laboratory to provide a 10-foot sign board to the facility.
The sign board was handed over to health workers of the Versailles Community Health Centre, recently.
Head of the facility, Dr. Raphael Hoyte, expressed gratitude to
Mr. Massiah for the kind gesture.
“On behalf of the Versailles Health Centre, we would like to thank Mr. Max Massiah and Eureka Labs for the sign. I remember when I first came here in October; I drove past the health centre searching for the facility because there was no sign.”
One health worker also thanked Massiah for his community effort. She said that lots of persons traverse the main road without even noticing or being aware of the health centre.
Mr. Massiah said that the sign is an early Christmas gift to the community on behalf of himself and Eureka Labs.
“Many villagers do not know that this centre exists. In the event of an accident or emergency it is important for persons to know of the health centre.”
He urged other businessmen and members of the community to exercise care and concern for their neighbourhood by showing support for the work of the health centre.
The Versailles Health Centre was established in 2011.
The clinic, which caters to at least 40 patients every week, offers a range of medical services that include family planning, prenatal care, post natal care and pediatric care, as well as a clinic for chronic diseases.
Dr.Hoyte was assigned to the clinic three months ago.
