Guyana National Rifle Association (GNRA) Small Bore Captain, Dale Hing ended the 2013 shooting programme on a high shooting his way to the top spot in the three-day Industrial Safety Supplies sponsored yearend Pistol championships which ended last weekend at Tactical Services Unit Range, Eve Leary.
Hing amassed 658 points overall top win despite a final day burst by Dr. Johan DaSilva who took top honours in the Action Pistol Shoot Saturday.
Dr. DaSilva finished the day with 250 points followed by Lawrence Layne second with 240 points while Hing placed third with 225 points, Vice Captain Gordon Richards was fifth with 206 points while sixth place went to Ryan McKinnon on 203 points.
Hing’s consistency throughout the competition paid off as he recorded a grand aggregate of 658 points with Richards securing the second spot back on 602 points while third place went to Dr. DaSilva on 590 points. Mc Kinnon was fourth with 581 points while Layne was fifth with 571.
Officials of the GNRA thanked Industrial Safety Supplies for sponsoring the tournament which attracted some of the nation’s top handgun shooters. The presentation of prizes will take place shortly and will form part of the GNRA’s Annual Presentation Ceremony at a date and time to be confirmed.
