Dear Editor,
Permit me to express my dismay at some of the statements made by Minister Ganga Persaud. He claims that Paul Clarke was not considered because of his previous job termination by the Inter American Development Bank.
Now as I remember, one Mr. Mentore was fire by the American embassy (read the Thomas Carroll book and you will know why), but yet he was hired by the government to fill a very crucial post in the ministry of home affairs. Rohee himself said, being dismissed by the US Embassy should not be grounds for not hiring Mentore. Now, is the non appointment of Mr. Paul Clarke on termination grounds not a clear case of double standards.
I wonder what is the Minister’s qualification for the job as Minister. He seems to be intellectually incapable and comes over as a bully.
