Guyana is doing everything to prove that life is cheap. For one, road users are bent on treating all public roads as private property. They ignore other vehicles and that is why a deadly accident will occur just as the Christmas rush begins.
A motorist would only think about how much money he will make during the day. This would blind him to the extent that he will try an impossible overtake.

The hinterland is perhaps the most dangerous place to be. The police have already rated it as the murder capital of the country and this is because the lure of the gold is the bait for the moneyed and the illiterate.
Two miners are going to be killed during a robbery and another would suffer a horrible fate for indiscretions.

There will be an electrocution in the city. The commercialism of the Christmas season dictates that the simplest of homes get certain things. One of them is something that warrants electricity.
An illegal connection is going to be the source of woe.
