General Manager of Guyana beverage Company Inc., Robert Selman was on Tuesday last recognized by the Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club (RHTY&SC) for his remarkable contribution to the development of Guyana’s leading youth and sports organisation.
The Company under the leadership of Mr. Selman over the past ten years
has sponsored the popular Busta Champion of Champions cricket tournament and has also co-sponsored numerous charity, educational and awards programmes of the club.
Club Secretary/CEO Hilbert Foster who presented a special gift to Mr. Selman described him as a amazing and trusted friend of the Club, describing him {Selman} as one of the foundation pillars of the club’s success story over the years.
Selman, Foster stated has never turned down a request from the club, even when the company was approached for other organisations, including churches and schools, he has readily cooperated.
The 10th edition of the Busta Champion of Champions tournament for Berbice teams was launched on Tuesday last and will feature the top eight first division clubs. The tournament has been very successful since its inception. The final is one of very few to be aired live on NCN radio.
The club and its members have extended wishes for continued good health and strength for Mr. Selman so that he can continue his outstanding work of making a positive difference in the lives of Guyanese youths.
