Police are investigating the death of an unidentified man whose nude body was found on the Georgetown seawalls, in the vicinity of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Police Force, with missing privates.
The discovery was made around 12:10hrs yesterday by a vagrant who immediately informed the police. A source said that when the vagrant walked into the police station, ranks attempted to put him out, thinking it was a “joke” but after a senior officer intervened, two police ranks went to the scene. They confirmed it.
Yesterday, a few persons who gathered at the scene to get a glimpse of the body were heard saying, “It looks fresh. Like they beat he and dump he there last night.”
Police in a press release said that the victim is of African descent, fair complexion and appears to be in the mid-forties.
The body also bore marks of violence. An investigation is ongoing.
