Despite the inclement weather which threatened to curtail proceedings on the first two nights of competition, the fans withstood the conditions and turned out in their numbers and when the 2013 Guinness ‘Greatest of the Streets’ Futsal Competition continues tonight, at the National Cultural Centre (NCC), the atmosphere and rivalry is expected to be electric.
In the opening clash, starting at 19:00 hrs, Festival City are set to engage Sophia North and that will be followed by the game between defending national champions Back Circle and North East La Penitence.
The next encounter will feature Stevedore Housing Scheme versus Norton Street and this game precedes the engagement between North- Last Entrance and Berlin Massive, before the break.
After the resumption, Broad Street ‘B’ take on Laing Avenue, before Tucville square off against River View.
Durban Street then battle Bent Street and in the final clash of the evening East La Penitence go up against Alexander Village in what is anticipated to be a humdinger.
