I know that it will take a lot of hard work but I am prepared for it, nothing comes easily,” added Dazell.

He pointed out that he has another year at the U-14 category and hopes to better his current performance. “The competition at the games was high, so one has to be well prepared for it and I am learning all the time,” he said. Dazell would like to thank his mom June Johnson and father for his success so far.
Among the outstanding athletes to have emerged from the island of Wakenaam are Yougeshwar and Yuvraj Jaichand who represented Police and Guyana with distinction in the 90s and current sensation Alita Moore who has raised eye brows recently.
