City Councilor Desmond Moses was fondly and respectably remembered for his persistent attitude towards the Hadfield Street Avenue and the Merriman Mall Market Project which he was instrumental
in having developed.
The 69-year-old was laid to rest yesterday after a ceremony and viewing of the body, on the grounds of the Mayor and City Council (M&CC).
Moses passed away after a brief illness that saw him being hospitalized some time back. He joined the Council in 1994 and served on the Council’s Legal Affairs and Security Committee and on the City Works Development Committee.
Several of his colleagues recalled fond moments with the former Councilor while expressing regret at the way he was treated closer to his death. This shabby treatment was due to the instability at the Council.
Council member, Oscar Clarke, was almost to tears as he went on about his friend and colleague. Moses was described as being very passionate about his work.
