Race walkers have had a very competitive year with races held in almost all of the ten administrative regions and administrators of their parent body, the Cavaliers Sports and Tour Club (CS&TC) continue to organize events as the season comes to a close.
As such, the nation’s best walkers will convene for the final event of the season, a 10K walk around Melanie Damishana ECD, Sunday December 1 next. Activities would be staged in collaboration with the Taurus Women’s Club and the Green Path Foundation. The walkers will convene at 06:30hrs at Moffatt’s residence in the village for the start then proceed around the periphery and back to the place of origin.
Administrators have said that walkers from Barbados will also be among the local competitors and will receive trophies and medals donated by corporate Guyana.
