Everest Cricket Club defeated Ontario Cricket Association (OCA) by 88 runs in a feature T\20 match played yesterday at the Everest Cricket Club ground.
Batting first, Everest posted 155/5 in 20 overs. Troy Gonsalves led with 44 while Ryan Ramdass and Tagenarine Chanderpaul supported with 35 apiece. Ayoub Ahmad grabbed 3 for 31 for OCA.
In reply OCA were restricted to 63/8 in 20 overs. Dion Thomas picked up two wickets, while Amir Khan, Chris Surat, Gonsalves and Raphael Singh accounted for one each.
A. Hussain with 13 was the only batsman to reach double figures for the tourist.
Meanwhile Enmore overcame the visitors by 11 runs in a 40 overs-a-side contest on Sunday. Enmore took first strike and posted 107/2 with Amir Khan top scoring with 53 and Chanderpaul stroking 49.
OCA responded with 96/8 in 40 overs. Bhadwaraj Neeraj and Trevon Garraway scored 18 apiece. N Dayal and C. Ramlall grabbed 3 wickets each.
OCA will take on Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) at Bourda today in a T\20 fixture.
