Sponsored by the Georgetown based Gizmos & Gadgets super store, the Rose Hall Town Gizmos & Gadgets First Division Team over the last decade has dominated cricket in the Ancient County of Berbice along with their arch rivals Albion Community Centre Cricket Club. The team has produced over its twenty-year history, players for the West Indies at all levels along with six senior national, 26 junior nationals and a total of eight for Berbice at all levels.
Rose Hall Town Gizmos & Gadgets and Albion Community Centre Cricket Club will on Sunday renew their healthy rivalry when they clash in the final of the NAMILCO/Bakewell T20 tournament organised by the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB).
The venue is the historic Albion Community Sports Complex and RHT Gizmos & Gadgets batting would be spearheaded by their only Test player Assad Fudadin, support will come from West Indies ODI player Royston Crandon who since his return has been enjoying a rewarding season.
National player Rajiv Ivan, Dominique Rikhi, Clinton Pestano, Jason Sinclair, Khemraj Mahadeo, Shawn Pereira, Shailendra Shameer and the hard hitting Eon Hooper will all lend support.
Rikhi, a former National Under-19 opener and the explosive Pestano himself a former national Under-15 and Uder-19 player would open batting against the all spin Albion bowling attack.
RHT’s bowling will be spearheaded by medium pacers Fudadin, the lively Keon Sinclair and Pestano. Off-spinners Eon Hooper, Shailendra Shameer, Rajiv Ivan, Dominique Rikhi and Royston Crandon along with left arm spinner Ravi Narine and leg spinner Shawn Pereira would take care of the slow stuff on a pitch expected to be a spinners’ paradise.
Veteran Administrator Hilbert Foster serves as Manager while Winston Smith is the Coach.

The Albion Community Centre Cricket Cub (ACCCC) without doubt has been the leading team in the Ancient County of Berbice over the last few years, producing players at every level including Test.
There only real rival has been the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club and this has resulted in stern competition whenever the two sides face off, many of the battles have been fierce. This Sunday’s final is expected to be no different.
Albion, over the past decade has produced four Test players – Narsingh Deonarine, Sewnarine Chattergoon, Devendra Bishoo and Veerasammy Permaul and several other promising players at the junior level especially Gudakesh Motie-Kanhai and Kandasammy Surujnarine.
Their successes have been based on the structured youth development programme along with a strict disciplined regime.
On Sunday their batting would be spearheaded by former Test opener Sewnarine Chattergoon, Balchan Baldeo, the hard hitting Jonathan Foo, Kandasammy Surujnarine, Devindra Bishoo, Adrian Sukhra, Sharaz Ramcharran and national wicket keeper Anthony Bramble. Sewnarine Chattergoon, Jonathan Foo and Devendra Bishoo along with the improved Kandasammy Surujnarine.
Playing at home will be added advantage for Albion, a ground that has been described as their fortress. Their all-round spin attack centre around the experienced leg spinner Devendra Bishoo, left arm spinner Gudakesh Motie-Kanhai and off spinners Sharaz Ramcharran, David Latchaya, Veerapen Permaul and Balchan Baldeo.
Coach Andre Percival, a former national player might be playing as well in the absence of West Indies players Narsingh Deonarine and Veerasammy Permaul who are both in India with the West Indies Team.
