Needing to keep the disappointment of Guyana being debarred from the NAWIRA Sevens Championships on the back burner, national ruggers will be involved in a Flavours-organised Sevens Tournament this Sunday, at the National Park Field, commencing from 11:00 hrs.
According to a release seen by this newspaper, all the clubs in the country will be participating in the tournament with most of them expected to field both male and female units, while the National Under-19 squad is also anticipated to take to the pitch.
Up for grabs will be trophies for the winning team and the Most Valuable Players, the clubs earmarked to participate include Caribs, Hornets, the Guyana Defence Force, University of Guyana and the national U-19’s.
Among the entities on board are: Noble House Sea Foods, Royal Glass & Aluminum Works, Print for Less, Tony’s Auto Spares and Ansa McAl.
The release added that food and drinks will be on sale, while Bar-B-Q and Fish Fry along with Games and Family Fun are also part of the day’s activities.
Additionally, the organisers will afford fans the opportunity to engage in goal kicks for FREE Beers.
