Fifth Round rained-out, Bulls leading Points Table
The Fifth Round of the Demerara Cricket Board (DCB) Over-40 20-Overs Competition sponsored by Raj Singh Insurance Brokers and Trophy Stall which was scheduled for Wednesday, has been abandoned due to heavy rain fall.
As a result of the abandonment, points were awarded in accordance with the playing conditions and the Competition will continue with the Sixth Round games tomorrow.
After five Rounds, Lower East Coast Bulls are still at the top of the points table with 18 points. They are followed by West Bank Demerara Mavericks on 15, East Coast Tigers on 13, Lower East Bank Lions on 12, West Bank Demerara Seals on 10, Upper East Bank Colts and Georgetown Bears on seven each, and Georgetown Buffaloes on three.
Four points are awarded for a win, two for a tie and one for a no-result. In Addition, there are bonus points for outstanding team achievements.
Two preliminary Rounds are still to be played before the semifinals on Friday, 22nd November 2013.
