Mindful of the magnitude of the Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC), Managing Director of Trophy Stall of Bourda Market Ramesh Sunich added his Company’s name to the growing list of supporters of the November 24 event when he donated a trophy and an undisclosed sum of money to the Guyana Motor Racing & Sports Club Manager Desiree Lee, during a simple presentation ceremony conducted, at the entity’s location recently.
Sunich, whose entity produces an array of trophies, medals and other sports related items, said he was happy to be associated with the event which has become the biggest attraction on the regional motor racing calendar and one that usually draws a lot of fans from inside and outside the diaspora.
Lee in her response thanked Sunich for his continued assistance for the sport and expressed on behalf of the GMR&SC its gratitude for his continued involvement in helping to move the sport forward.
The CMRC is anticipated to attract the best drivers and riders in the Caribbean with competitors expected from Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Canada, Cayman Islands and the USA, who will be going up against the Guyanese contingent.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Tourism which has been on board for the past three years will once again partner the GMR&SC in an event that has evolved into a major sport tourism attraction. GT&T, Seaboard Marine, Valvoline, Banks Beer and King’s Jewellery World are the major sponsors for this event.
