-65 teams so far confirmed for Playoffs on Friday
Sixty-five teams have so far qualified for the playoffs of the F&H Printing Establishment Million Dollars Plus Countrywide Dominoes competition which would be contested from Friday at the National Gymnasium.
Confirmation of participation is still to be received from Mahdia, Port Kaituma, New Amsterdam, Canje, Corentyne and Linden. With the last round of preliminary matches still being played in Georgetown, organisers are looking at a Possible 75 teams for the playoffs.
Among the qualifying teams so far are; Double Deuce, Punters(East Coast Demerara), Run Away, Ravi 6 (West Coast Demerara), All Stars, Police, Limpy Lotto, Upsetters (Bartica), Adventure, Rocket, Big Bird, CH Boyz (Essequibo Coast), Dynamite and Atomic(Essequibo Islands), North West All Stars and Mabaruma Dynamite(Mabaruma). Corporation zone: All Seasons Racing Service, Caricom, Guyana Gold Field, Ivan’s Grocery, KTS, Mayor and Town Council, Ministry of Health, Republic Bank, Regal, GT & T, Vidya’s Enterprise, F & H Printing, Global Sea Food, Police Mix, CCI, Up Scale Warriors, Police B and Universal Group. Georgetown: Gangster, Mixup, Providence, C7, Delta Force, Assassin, Phantom, Rage, Lions, Thunder, Scramblers, Transport, Specialist and TNT.
The playoffs will commence at 17:00hrs following a March Past which will be used to judge the best dressed team. Fixtures for Saturday’s games will be given on Friday evening to ensure a 10:00hrs start. The Captains are asked to be present for the draw.
On Sunday, the quarter finals, semi finals and the final will be played with matches set to commence at 12.00hrs.
