Prime Minister, Samuel Hinds presented the championship trophy to organizers of the Chico Kashif and Shanghai Secondary schools football tournament yesterday at his office and also pledged to purchase 500 tickets for school children for the December 27th matches in Linden at the Mackenzie Sports Club (MSC) ground.
PM Hinds handed over the huge trophy to Aubrey ‘Shanghai’ Major and Kashif Muhammad. He has in the past supported their previous tournament for seniors.
Meanwhile, tomorrow Wednesday 13th & Thursday 14th November, the K&S organization will be coordinating a coaching seminar for the coaches from the schools that are apart if the tournament. Chief Education Officer of the Ministry of Education, Olato Sam, has asked for some additional teachers to be part of the training and this has been agreed to by Mr. Muhammad.
The session starts at 9:00hrs and the venue is the Ministry of Education ground on Carifesta Avenue.
