Additional encouragement for the youngsters involved in this year’s Chico Kashif and Shanghai Secondary Schools Football Tournament is continuing to come in following three latest donations.
Senior Counsel Stephen Fraser and Basil Josiah donated Kindle Tablets, while Attorney-at-law Mark Waldron put up a trophy that will go to the best academically performing player involved in the tournament.
The Kindles will go to deserving players who are successfully able to balance their academics and football.
The attorneys decided to throw in the gifts as an encouragement to the youngsters involved to not only focus on sport but to ensure they do well at school because a sound education will benefit them in sport and after their sporting careers would have culminated.
The organisers will disclose later the exact criteria for winning the gifts.
