Eight Under-15 teams in Berbice will today contest the Hilbert ‘Old Beef’ Humphrey Memorial Inter Ward football competition organised by the Hearts of Oak Masters FC and coordinated by Neil ‘Grizzly’ Humphrey. Matches will be played at the All Saints Scott Church Ground from 09:00hrs.
Teams will come from North, South and Central New Amsterdam, East Canje, Islington, Vryheid/West Canje, Fyrish/Lower Corentyne and Edinburgh/East Bank Berbice.
Prizes are reserved for the top two teams with the winner receiving the Hilbert Old Beef Memorial trophy and medals while the runner up will only collect medals. The MVP, player to score the most goals and best goalkeeper will also be rewarded.
