Once again the 2nd Caribbean Cup Karate Championships will take place in Trinidad and Tobago.
The much anticipated event will be at the Maloney Indoor Sport Complex from November 29th to 30th. Teams are expected from St. Lucia, Bahamas, Venezuela, Grenada, Guyana, Barbados and the USA.
The tournament has been approved by the World United Karate Organization (WUKO). WUKO will also be conducting an official referee course prior to the event. Clubs may contact Barry Winter (313-1101) or Michael Cromwell (310-1172) or log on to www.ttkf.org.
For the first time there will be a Kickboxing division. For info on this segment contact Rodney Ramlal (706-4583).
There will also be a division for paralympic athletes. The regular categories will be Traditional Karate, Eclectic Karate, Grappling, Weapons, Teams, and Self-Defence.
All Technical Seminars, National gradings, and courses will be on Friday 29th November.
Part proceeds will go towards the Trinidad and Tobago Cancer Society (TTCS). TTKF are asking all spectators to wear pink for the event.
