Minutes after withdrawing cash from a city bank yesterday, a woman was trailed to a pharmacy located at Robb Street, Georgetown, where a gunman snatched her bag containing money, documents and other valuables before making good his escape with an accomplice on a motorcycle.

According to eyewitnesses, the terrified woman who fought back by holding onto her bag, quickly released after the bandit fired a shot at the ground. She then sprinted out of the pharmacy. The bandit while running replaced his handgun into the waist of his pants, before hopping onto a waiting motorcycle parked several feet away.
Police visited the scene and retrieved the warhead, while the petrified woman visited Brickdam Police Station where she gave a statement.
Reports are that the bandits escaped with $180,000. The incident occurred shortly after midday yesterday.
