Vision Sports and Entertainment Agency in collaboration with the Georgetown Football Association (GFA) will be hosting a series Caribbean Inter Club Football matches from November 29 and December 1 next at the Georgetown Cricket Club ground, Bourda.
The series which involves Boystown Football Club of Jamaica, Guyana’s Alpha United Football Club, Sunburst Campton Football Club and Buxton United Football Club was officially launched yesterday in the Studios of the National Communications Network (NCN).

Stan Gouveia said the games are expected to branch out in the Caribbean in the future. He indicated that the event which is being sponsored by NCN, Star Party Rentals, Banks DIH, Caribbean Airlines and Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports will be a mixture of football and music with artistes the likes of Duane Stephenson, Dean Fraser, Michelle King and Celeste David set to provide musical entertainment for the fans.
CEO of Vision Sports and Entertainment Wally Fraser stated that he is eagerly looking forward to the games. “We are trying to put together a series of Caribbean club matches and this is the start here in Guyana. I do hope that it will kick start in other territories as well”, he said.
Fraser said that it is a good opportunity for the youngsters to showcase their talent since he already spoke to a number of administrators from London who will be looking closely at the games and hoped the locals can get an opportunity to play with some of the clubs there.
Dexter Schultz, Treasurer of the GFA congratulated Vision Sounds for such as venture. He stated that the matches will do well for the local teams while Troy Peters of Banks DIH said they are happy to support the games. He pointed out that the local teams will be able to measure how good they are.
Coach of Boystown FC, Andrew Price who linked via Skype, said his team will be coming to entertain and he expects a tough challenge from the Guyanese. He stated that his side is a mixture of youth and experience and includes a number of national players.
Price believes it is a good opportunity to bridge the gap between Jamaica and Guyana. Boystown will arrive in Guyana on November 28 and will play Alpha on the 29 and Camptown on December 1.
