A post- mortem performed on the body of the Cotton Tree teen who was electrocuted while connecting a washing machine last Wednesday evening, concluded that the cause of death was ventricular fibrillation.
The autopsy was performed on Friday at the New Amsterdam Hospital by Government Pathologist Dr. Vivekanand Brijmohan. The lifeless body of Azam Inshan, a second year student of the New Amsterdam Technical Institute and formerly of Lot 30 ‘A’ Cotton Tree, West Coast Berbice, was found by his twin brother, Azim, shortly before 23:00 hrs. He was trying to connect a washing machine to a transformer while laundering.
Inshan was laid to rest on Saturday.
