Assassin marked 86 games to win zone four of Georgetown leg of the F and H nationwide Million Dollar Plus Dominoes tournament when the final was contested on Thursday evening at Gaulding Place, South Ruimveldt. Scramblers placed second with 75 and R and R, who drew the bye to the final, came third with 63 games. Stephan Duncan led Assassin’s charge with the maximum 18 games; he was supported by Navin Singh 17, Deodat Dass and Lyndon Bowman with 15 each.
Basil Bradshaw scored 17 for the runner up team.
Assassin chalked 74 games to win the semifinal which was played earlier. Scramblers finished second with 71 and Turning Point ended in the cellar position with 69 games.
Meanwhile, Unruly Bunch got the better of Raiders and Thunder in zone 5. Unruly Bunch and Raiders registered 72 games each but the former got the nod by making more sixes. Thunder made 64 games. Godfrey Clavis top scored for the winners with 17 games while Godfrey Wallace scored 17 and Rudy Collins 15 for Raiders; Gillian Hyman recorded 17 and Junior Bailey 15 for Thunder.
The Georgetown Leg continues on Monday evening with action in zone 5 and 6.
