The Aurora Knight Riders, a well organized and progressive cricket club on the Essequibo Coast has donated four large garbage bins to the Aurora Primary School. The bins which cost $28,000 were well painted and labeled.
At a simple handing over ceremony yesterday, the club’s President Mr. Reshad Ally expressed his team’s joy in giving back meaningfully to the community. He noted that the team’s next project is the rehabilitation of the school’s bus shed which is in dire need of proper seating accommodation and a general face lift.
The Head teacher, staff and pupils expressed their heartfelt thanks to the executive and members of the team for their generous contribution and vowed to make maximum use of the bins which will assist in a major way in keeping the school’s compound tidy.
