A Sand Hills driver from Essequibo died several hours after he was involved in a road accident yesterday on the Essequibo Coast Public Road.
The man Felix Layne, died at the Suddie Public Hospital. Layne, along with an Adventure Nursery school teacher, and a five-year-old nursery school pupil were involved in the accident on the Onderneeming Public Road, around 14:30 hours, yesterday afternoon.
The teacher and the pupil remained hospitalized up to press time.
According to reports, Layne was transporting the teacher and the pupil out of the Sand Hills area when a Canter truck, property of Geddes Grant, collided with his car.
The police have since detained the Canter truck driver.
