Janet Jagan Memorial 50-mile cycle race on for Sunday

National Cycling Coach, Hassan Mohamed MS has organized a 50 Miles Road Cycle Race on Sunday, October 20, 2013 in memory of the late Janet Jagan, former President of the Republic of Guyana.
The race is coordinated by the Goed Fortuin PPP Group.
The race will commence from Wales Police Station at 08:00hrs, proceed to Bushy Park on the East Bank of Essequibo before returning to the Demerara Harbour Bridge, West Bank of Demerara for the finish.
The veteran, mountain bikers and females will turn back at Uitvlugt Community Centre and finish at the Harbour Bridge.
The first (6) finishers, (3) juniors, (3) veteran, (3) mountain bikers, (3) female and first veteran O-60 yrs will all receive prizes. (8) Prime Prizes to be won during the course of the race.
The race is sponsored by Caricom Cement Inc Limited – Cyclists are reminded to wear their club jerseys.
