Gangster registered 81 games to win zone 1 of the Georgetown Leg of the F&H Million dollars plus nationwide dominoes tournament last Friday evening at R&R venue Meadowbrook. Mix Up took the runner up spot with 75 games and TNT claimed third place with 69. Seven Collymore made 17 for the winners; Tony Smith scored 17 for Mix Up, while Shawn Morgan and Cheryl Smith marked 15 each for TNT. Zone 2 final was contested last evening with Providence, Unruly Bunch and Phantom battling for honours.
Meanwhile Republic Bank and Guyana Gold Fields (GGF) won zone 1 and 2 respectively in the corporation segment last Friday.
Republic Bank marked 91 games, while KTS placed second with 72 and Ivan’s Grocery third with 61. Anthony MacFarlane was Republic Bank leading player with a maximum of 18 games.
Guyana Gold Fields chalked 76 games followed by Ministry of Health with 72 and All Season Pick Up with 67. The lone love bird was John Freeman from All Season Pick Up.
Teams are asked to note that Corporation matches will be played at Banks DIH, Thirst Park on Friday from 19:00 hours. (Zaheer Mohamed)
