Following their six-wicket defeat in the opening Under-19 ODI at Providence on Monday, Bangladesh will aim to rebound with an improved performance in today’s second ODI against the West Indies colts at the GCC ground Bourda.
Today the action is scheduled to commence at 09:00hrs and like on Monday not many fans are expected to turn up at Bourda since it’s a working day in Guyana.
The pitch should be on the slow side and the spinners are expected to prevail. Bangladesh would hope to better the 135 all out in 46 overs they made in the first match, while the home team will aim for better shot selection, since although they comfortably won with more than 15 overs to spare they lost three wickets with victory a few runs away, including top-scorer Leroy Lugg who threw his wicket away after making 69.

Skipper Mehedi Miraj is a versatile 15-year-old who bats in the middle order and bowls off-spin and will depend on his openers Emon Joyraj and Sadman Anik to build a solid foundation.
Nazmul Shanto, Uddin Jashim and the inform Mossadek Saikat are expected to do the bulk of scoring for the visitors, while Vincentian Ray Jordan looks the quickest bowler in the first match and get support Marquino Mindley and Alzarri Joseph.
Left-arm spinner Gudakesh Motie-Kanhai along with off-spinners Skipper Ramaal Lewis and Tarryck Gabriel should most enjoy the conditions at Bourda.
