final round to come away with the win in the Middleweight division and increase his record to two wins following his victory against Kevin Rodney in Linden.
His win Sunday night will keep his hope of topping the Division alive when the Mackeson Fight Night wraps up in Berbice this weekend. Rodney left the division wide open after he defeated Trevon King, who won against Hendricks last weekend, with a unanimous decision Sunday night.
The Ageday and Hendricks bout was the featured of the evening, and sparked lots of banter from a very vocal crowd. Hendricks was the busier opponent in the two latter rounds even though he was subjected to some flush combinations from Ageday.
In what seemed to be an even contest after two rounds, Hendricks went on the offensive to gain the advantage, forcing patrons to shout “beat him William, beat him”, which forced a lusty blow from Hendricks that put Ageday on the canvas in the final round.
However, Ageday would himself force a mandatory eight-count, which seemed to level the score after a nippy right-hand combination. For the laymen, it looked as if Hendricks had secured the win, but the judges’ scorecards told a different story.
In the Middleweight division thus far after two cards, Ageday remains unbeaten, while King and Rodney have a win and a loss each. Hendricks is yet to score anything in the win column ahead of one remaining card in the Ancient County.
Ron Smith defeated Clifton Graham in the Welterweight division while Bert Braithwaite kept his unbeaten record intact with a unanimous decision against Aquincy Harvey in the Junior Welterweight division, which places him on a collision course with Kurt Kendall, who lost a unanimous decision to Kelon King.
In the Lightweight division, Stephan Gouveia knocked out Kevin Ting-A-Kee, who had given a

spirited account of himself in Linden, in round two to end the fight. Gouveia is unbeaten in the category while Clairmont Gibson, who outlasted Ting-A-Kee last week, lost a split decision to Anandram Dharamraj. Gouveia had beaten Dharamraj last week.
