Eight to contest in Miss Guyana Universe 2013
The Miss Guyana Universe was officially launched at the Palm Court restaurant and night club on Main Street, Georgetown on Sunday night.

The sashing ceremony will take place this Saturday at the Pegasus. Franchise holder, Odinga Lumumba, said that prizes for the Queen will include the trip to Moscow for three weeks, the prize money and the University of Guyana education and more, all part of a fabulous package.
The pageant will feature three catwalks, with one reaching out to the pool.
The contestants are Carla Browne, Katherina Roshana, Shyon Hoppie, Carlea Chapelle, Tiffanie Nieuenkirk, Ayanna Whitehead, Kenwa Cho Quan Yi and Alicia Bess.
Twenty-year-old Ruquayyah Boyer was crowned Miss Guyana Universe 2012 at the poolside of the Princess International Hotel at Providence last September, and represented Guyana at the Miss Universe 2012 pageant, which was held on December 19, 2012 at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States of America.
