A new Female Football Club was launched on Sun 15th September 2013 at the ACDA Building, Thomas Lands.
The name of the club is “Little DIVA Flames Football Club.” The chairman of the launching programme was Lawrence Griffith. The Constitution of the club was looked at among other matters during the launching.
The Election of Office Bearers will be done on Saturday 28th September 2013 at the GFF Office at 16:00 hrs, the Rules and Constitution will also be ratified on that date.

Colin Baker of the Guyana Sports Development Foundation and Proprietor of the popular sports store, Sports Plus situated at Quamina & Carmichael Streets, has been named as Patron of the Club. He has also donated 10 balls to the club.
The Club has also planned a trip to Suriname in December and a trip to Lethem in Easter next year. The Coach and or Coaches will also be identified at the upcoming meeting.
The club intends to commence training on Sat 12th October 2013 at a venue to be named; the Ministry of Education Ground has been identified as one of the grounds.

Meanwhile, Popular Sports Administrator & Proprietor of Sports Plus Store Colin Baker donated ten (10) size 5 football worth approximately $50,000 to the newly formed Little DIVA Flames Football Club.
In brief remarks Sports Plus representative, Ms Romona Arthur, said that her organisation is fully behind the development of sports and in this case football and they will always, once the opportunity arises to support the well being of young children.
The recipients were Ms Aaliyah Stanley, Shaunna Taylor and Cindy McPherson. The three members of the club are all students of Campbellville Secondary School. They were all delighted and happy to be a part of the formation of the new club.
Lawrence Griffith in brief remarks said he was grateful to Sports Plus for their generosity and is looking forward to many other sponsors coming on board. He said that he would like the club to become a Role Model Club. The players will be given the opportunity to gain football scholarships once they are academically qualified and tactically and technically sound on the field. He said that the club will be supplying all the prerequisite in making this a reality, the players will have to do the rest.
