Bids submitted for One-Mile Primary School construction

Under the Ministry of Education, five bids were opened yesterday by the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB), for the construction of One-Mile Primary School, Linden.

Government released $60 million for the reconstruction of the institution. The school was set ablaze by arsonist(s) last August.

It was the largest primary school in Region 10, housing more than 800 students.

The bids are as follows:

The University of Guyana’s Institute of Applied Science and Technology (IAST) received bids for the painting of fabrication workshop and main stores.

The Regional Democratic Council (RDC), Region Six, received bids for the rehabilitation/construction of miscellaneous roads. The bids were divided into five lots.

For the RDC, Region One, a lone bid was opened for the procurement, supply and delivery of health equipment. The bids were divided into two lots: Lot (1) X-Ray Machine and Lot (2) ECG Machine.
