An aeronautical engineer was yesterday pronounced dead on arrival at the Georgetown Public Hospital after his motorcar slammed into a utility pole on the Crane Public Road yesterday morning.
The man was identified as 29-year-old Asif Hussain of Independence Drive, La Grange.
The other two occupants are now patients at the Woodlands Hospital.
According to reports around 3:00 hours the motorcar was proceeding north along the Crane Public Road turn when the driver of the vehicle lost control and collided with a utility pole.
Hussain was found in the passenger side of the vehicle while another person identified as Masood Khan and a third person were found in the damaged vehicle.
Kaieteur News understands that the driver of the vehicle is still to be ascertained by the police.
Calls to the dead man’s relatives were futile.
