Dear Editor,
On September 7, 2009 my brother Motie L Singh was brutally and senselessly murder while in Guyana for the funeral of his older brother. Motie was stabbed 21 times and left on a street corner in Windsor Forest to die. Five people were arrested for this crime and four years later one has subsequently died in prison and the other four are still languishing in prison.
His wife Jaitoon Singh is currently living in the USA collecting SSI benefits from my deceased brother and enjoying her life while my brother is dead. Where is the justice? My brother was a good human being and did not deserve to die this way. He went out of his way to help anyone who needed help. He married this woman just so she can get her green card to have a better life for herself and her children and that was the thanks he got for being a decent law abiding Guyanese who was also a citizen of the United States.
Why has this case not even been called up in the High Court?
Four long years have passed we the family is still suffering the loss and we will continue to suffer. The people in the justice system need to wake up and do the job they are being paid to do
Thank You – Concerned and grieving sister-
Savitri Singh
