Residents of Vigilance ECD will benefit immensely when the administrators of the Cool Runnins Beach Football Club (CRBFC) continue in their efforts to popularize the sport with a visit to their village this morning.
While there, administrators will facilitate a symposium to deal with the intricacies of the sport and then compete in two matches against the Buxton Youth Developers Beach Football Club (BYDBFC). The touring group consists of male and female players and will play two matches against members of the BYDBFC.
Meanwhile, the symposium is a collaborative effort by organizers of both clubs with an aim of exposing the players to the technical aspects of the game. Participants will also be introduced to the electronic aspect of the sport with a view of fostering development at the grass root level.
The matches get underway at the culmination of the symposium and executive member of the CRBFC, Rollin Tappin, intimated that the clubs have been invited by ‘Bagosports’ a group out of Trinidad and Tobago, to participate in the 4th Bagosports Invitational Beach Soccer tournament scheduled for Tobago from November 1-3. He said that the interaction sessions will serve as preparation for the event.
