– Neal and Massy launch fourth edition of race
Road race aces, Alika Morgan and Cleveland Forde stands ready to defend their Neal and Massy 10km Road Race (also known as AinLim 10k) titles on September 15 when the fourth edition of the race and 5k Fitness Walk will be held, finishing at the company’s Ruimveldt Office.

The event was officially launched yesterday where it was disclosed that in excess of $1M in cash and prizes will be up for grabs in the race that’s expected to attract the country’s leading distance athletes, including Forde and Morgan.
Chief Executive Officer of Neal and Massy Guyana, Deo Persaud indicated that the company is pleased to annually present the race. Persaud informed that for the fifth edition, the race will also be staged in Berbice and Essequibo in a nationwide effort.
In his remarks, AAG President, Aubrey Hutson lauded Neal and Massy for their support and also encouraged athletes to put in better performances than last year.
The Open winners (male and female) will pocket $75,000 each while the first, second, third and fourth place finishers will take home $60,000,$40,000,$15,000 and $10,000 respectively, while in the junior category (16-19 years) the winners will receive $50,000 each with second, third, fourth and fifth place finishers will collect $30,000,$20,000,$10,000 and $5,000 each.
In the Master’s category (women 35 years and older and men 40-55 years), the top three finishers will get $40, 000, $20,000 and $15,000 respectively. Master’s men 56 years and above will receive hampers.
The 10k race commences at 6am at Diamond, East Bank Demerara, and concludes in front of Neal and Massy Ruimveldt Office, while the fitness walk starts at the Demerara Harbour Bridge 15 minutes later and also ends at Neal and Massy.
