Guyana’s National Women’s Table Tennis Team came up short last night against Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean Regional Table Tennis Federation (CRTTF) Senior Championships at the Beausejour Indoor Stadium in St. Lucia.

match, beating both Chelsea Edghill and Trenace Lowe.
Nathalie Cummings also lost to Aleena Edwards, while Lowe won one game to create the final score line. However, Guyana had beaten every other team, including the super-strong Dominican Republic enroute to the final against Trinidad.
The Guyanese team was chasing a historical women’s team’s title, which would have been only Guyana’s second in the 55 year history of the competition. Denise Osman and Doreen Chowah won Guyana’s only women’s team’s title in 1970 in Barbados.
