Football is played on the field but it is the off the field activities that make it possible for the fans to truly enjoy those action packed duels. Sponsorship is considered a major off the field activity, for devoid of such support, the organisers are unable to convert their plans into action.
And so it was that yesterday morning, one of the organisers of the Slingerz Football Club/National Association of Women’s Football Goal for Gold football championships, Colin Aaron, journeyed over to the West Coast to collect a sponsorship package from the proprietors of Pooran Brothers Top Mix to offset the expenses of the current tournament.
He was accompanied by Secretary of the National Association of Women’s Football, Sheron Abrams who collected the gift on behalf of her organisation.
Secretary of Pooran Brothers Top Mix, Sarah Dass, presented the gift to Ms. Abrams and conveyed best wishes on behalf of her superiors. She said that their sincere wish is to promote sports in the best light and as such, acquiescing to the donation was not a hard decision to make. Ms Abrams expressed gratitude on behalf of her organisation while assuring her benefactor that the gift would be integral in offsetting their many expenses.
Earlier, Mr. Aaron had collected a similar gift from the Manager of Fazia’s Collections, Terry Anderson. The businessman resides in Tuschen Housing Scheme WCD and Mr. Aaron had travelled to that location to collect the gift package.
He was thankful for the assistance and conveyed those sentiments to Mr. Anderson. Mr. Aaron said that such support is indeed appreciated and urged other businesses to imitate the gesture so as to ensure the continuity of football development.
