Zeelugt children murder…Father refuses to believe that man found hanging is his son
Albert Lord, the father of the man who hacked his two children to death and maimed his wife almost a month ago, has refused to believe that the headless body of a man found hanging from a tree on the Zeelugt, East Bank Essequibo foreshore three days ago, is that of his son.
Lord made this disclosure yesterday, hours after he viewed the remains of his son, Richard Lord at the Ezekiel Funeral Parlour for the first time.

The body was earlier identified by the younger Lord’s in-laws who told investigators that the pair of pants the body was clad in, was the same pants the children killer was wearing on the faithful night of August 01.
On that night Richard Lord murdered his two children, five year-old Kimberley Houston, her two-year-old brother, Tarif Lord and severely injured his wife, Nazarena Houston.
But the dead man’s father said that “a pair of pants” is not enough evidence to prove that it is indeed his son’s body.
The body was so badly decomposed, with the skull resting nearby, that except for the trousers, it was difficult to make a positive identification.
The older Lord claimed that the skull shown to him has three missing teeth when his son had only one missing tooth.
“How can I identify something like that? The skull has no hair, is just a skull. The body was found with a pants only, that doesn’t prove anything at all. I don’t believe that is my son’s remains,” Albert Lord maintained.
The older Lord questioned, “How can your head fall off and your neck left hanging from a rope?”
He added that he knows that his son committed a crime but “I don’t think this is my son. I prefer if the police had shoot he and kill he, at least I would have seen he face and get a proper body to bury but now I don’t know who I’m going to bury tomorrow (Today).”
Yesterday, when Kaieteur News contacted Nazarena Houston’s family, her brother-in-law, Narish Samaroo, who also witnessed the PM, claimed that Lord’s father is wasting his time making “baseless” suggestions.
“I was there when they did the PM and the same underpants Lord got on, is the same kind I am wearing now. We use to buy things wholesale to get it cheaper, so I don’t know why he wasting he time,” Samaroo stressed.
Meanwhile, When Kaieteur News contacted Nazarena Houston’s mother, she said that her daughter, who is being protected by the Ministry of Human Services, was informed of the discovery and she was “very happy.”
On Saturday last, the badly decomposed body believed to be that of Richard Lord was found by fishermen, hanging from a tree on the Zeelugt foreshore.
