$7M up for grabs
The Bush Lot United Turf Club (BLUTC) has begun preparations for their one day horserace meet slated for Sunday 29th September at the club’s entity Sea View Park, Bush Lot Village West Coast Berbice.
The club in collaboration with the Kishan Bacchus Trucking Service and Jumbo Jet Jnr are teaming up for this encounter.
Seven races are listed on the day’s programme with over $7M in cash and prizes up for grabs.
With so much on offer an action pack day of racing is anticipated. Ongoing sprucing up works is presently being undertaken at the venue which has made a surge in its horseracing activities over the past year.
A number of feature races are listed on the day’s card with races for B, E G, and the three and two year old events being the top draw cards.
The Feature race will be for horses classified ‘B’ and lower with the animals set to cover a distance of one mile. The winner is set to take home a whopping $1.2M and trophy.
There is the event for horses classified E and lower with the top notch field expected to compete for the $600,000 and trophy over one mile. The three Year old animals Bred and Born in Guyana and the West Indies have a first prize of $500,000 and trophy over six furlongs on offer.
The event for two year old Guyana and West Indies Bred horses, will also see the winner running away with $500,000 and trophy over five furlongs.
The race for horses classified G3 and lower will be a six furlongs affair with the animals running for a winning purse of $400,000 and trophy.
The ‘I’ and lower event is also over six furlongs for a winning purse of$200,000 and trophy.
The J, K and L class match up will see the winner pocketing $150,000 and trophy in another six furlongs event.
Among the sponsors so far are Banks DIH, Buddy Shivraj, Jumbo Jet, Trophy Stall of Bourda Market, Inshan Bacchus, and Lakeram ‘Buddy’ Sukhdeo.
The individual performers including top jockey, stable and trainer will be presented with trophies compliments of The Trophy Stall, Bourda Market and the organisers.
