Rain prevented any play in the first round of the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA)/Banks Malta Supreme 25-over Under-13 competition that was scheduled to start for yesterday.
Everest Cricket Club was set to host Demerara Cricket Club while Transport Sports Club were down to travel to Gandhi Youth Organisation; Malteenoes Sports Club and the Georgetown Cricket Club were to face off at Bourda.
Chairman of the Competition Committee of the GCA Shaun Massiah said the venues were left water logged after heavy overnight showers. He stated that the competition will continue today weather permitting.
In today’s fixtures Everest Cricket Club will entertain Transport Sports Club, Demerara Cricket Club will journey to Georgetown Cricket Club and Gandhi Youth Organization will host Malteenoes Sports Club. All matches are set to starts at 09:30 hrs.
