More than twenty coaches affiliated to the Guyana Amateur Swimming Association (GASA) will be much more enlightened in the intricacies of the sport after engaging in a week long Intermediate Level Swimming Coach’s Course which got underway at the Olympics House, High Street Kingston yesterday afternoon and concludes
August 31 next.
Over the one week period, participants will engage in class orientation and later, practical swimming activities. Activities will culminate with a mini swim meet on Wednesday August 28 starting at 09:00hrs until noon. Activities will come to an end at 17:00hrs also on that day. Consequently, officials will conduct a FINA Level One Swimming Coach’s Certification Clinic from August 29-31 and an examination on Saturday. Successful participants will each receive certificates.
